I'm Joe "Jacob" Curbow, the owner and founder of Controlur. With over 25 years of experience, I've owned and operated real estate companies, including a tenure with a large franchise company and a boutique real estate firm. Additionally, I own and operate a Colorado Mortgage Company.

Our Story
Our story began in a 9X9 foot bedroom in my first home in Security, Colorado. I started Curbow Realty, Inc. and grew that company to around 15 agents. In 2006, I franchised with CENTURY 21, which grew to encompass 30 to 40 agents and 7 staff members. After 13 years with C21, I decided to leave the corporate real estate world and return to being an independent boutique real estate office. It was during this time that the concept for Controlur was born. Understanding the changes in the real estate industry helped us realize that we could help sellers save money while providing excellent service with years of experience.
